What is Life Proof Performance?

Life proof performance could mean different things to different people, so it makes it a little hard to answer that with a single statement.

For some people it could mean hiking, running, and jumping. And for others it could mean keeping up with their kids.

I once trained a client who’s number one goal was to be able to shovel her driveway in the winter!

 

There are a lot of different ways to view “performance”.

But the good news is that everyone needs the same thing when it comes to being able to perform!

 

I personally believe in individualizing training for my clients, and you probably do too.

However there are a few basic necessities everyone needs for life proof performance.

 

How can I confidently say everyone??

 

Because everyone has the same body.

 

The body might come in different shapes and sizes, but every body comes with the same stuff. (Excluding surgical removal)

 

You and I, we both have eyes that dominate our sensory input.

We have diaphragms that regulate pressure and help us breathe.

Provided that you don’t have Situs Inversus, we both have a heart, lungs, and liver in the same locations.

 

Once you know what one body needs to move, you know what the next body needs to move.

You might need different strategies to get there! But that will come later.

 

First, let’s go over the basic foundations of Life Proof Performance.
